Good things come to those who brunch. And those who brunch want a damn good menu to accompany the experience. Symmetry delivers some of the most moreish creations in Singapore. They take the simplest brunch must-haves — from pancakes and waffles to smoked salmon and sourdough — and pepper them with some pretty impressive twists.
The weekend brunch menu lists an impressive collection of mains, from Lamb Shakshouka to Duck Leg Confit. There’s a Vegan Big Breakfast option that throws in tofu, avocado, scallion pesto, roasted peppers and tomato stew. A health-conscious Symmetry Salad option serves up cured salmon, pine nuts, halloumi cheese, watermelon, avocado and sweet corn accented with some honey yogurt dressing.
What to eat and drink at Symmetry
We recommend the Baked Smoked Fish Omelette for something hearty and insanely flavoursome. It guarantees an intense explosion of smoked haddock, smoked salmon, melted aged cheddar and parmesan cream sauce, all baked into a skillet omelette. Sounds heckin’ good, right? To soak up all that flavour, it’s served with a side of sourdough. Let’s not forget the sprinkling of pickles and trout roe! Admittedly, this dish can get mega heavy on the sodium with all that smoked fish and cheese, so you might want to consider a nice drink to accompany the omelette.
Symmetry does a whole list of coffees, teas, juices, smoothies, and milkshakes. Oh, plus an even bigger list of alcoholic drinks and cocktail creations for the late crowd. For coffee and tea lovers who need both at one go, dose up on some Iced Dirty Matcha. It unites cold brew coffee and matcha tea to deliver a crazy kick of caffeine. Surprisingly creamy, refreshing, and a really good perk-me-up!
We also gobbled up the Symmetry Eggs Benedict. You can’t go wrong with 64°C eggs, duxelles and caramelised onions wrapped in maple-glazed bacon and drenched in brown butter hollandaise. Nothing tastes better on English muffins, we reckon.
The Milk & Dust verdict
Symmetry certainly exceeded our expectations on the sweltering Sunday morning we dropped by. Lots of variety, a rustic garden-like al fresco terrace sprinkled with trellis-climbing greenery, a very chill vibe despite its location along Victoria Street. Now we have to stop by for dinner one night.
Where is Symmetry, and what else is around Jalan Kubor?
Symmetry is located along Jalan Kubor with its front door facing Victoria Street. The closest train station is Bugis MRT Station. Take Exit B and walk towards Raffles Hospital, then keep going straight for just under 10 minutes until you reach Symmetry. You’ll see it on your right.
We took a stroll around the area after our brunch at Symmetry. Find out where we went through our photowalk below. Try to name some of the streets we walked down!
