Set amongst a backdrop of lush greenery, located on the banks of the tranquil Punggol Serangoon Reservoir, Whisk & Paddle is as north-east as it gets. The cafe ticks all the away-from-the-bustling-city boxes, plus they dish up some good grub and lip-smacking beverages to make any discerning foodie want to spend an entire afternoon here. Outfitted with a spacious al fresco dining area, it’s the perfect place to bring the whole family for a hearty brunch.
Whisk & Paddle’s location may be a bit of a deterrent to anyone not living in the north-east, but a visit is well worth the effort. Once you’re there, you can choose to sit outside on the terrace. It offers a sheltered view that faces out towards the water. On weekends, it can get pretty packed, so if sitting outside isn’t an option, there is also a colourful indoor seating area that is just as spacious as the al fresco section.
What to eat and drink at Whisk & Paddle?
Don’t pass up the chance to try one of the more unusual beverages here. For a nutty and toasty treat, sip on a milk-based Black Sesame Latte. Interested in coffee with a local twist? Try a Gula Melaka Latte. Matcha more your style? The Matcha & Rose Latte is a unique choice.
Food-wise, Whisk & Paddle offers simple and hearty fare that all brunch lovers will approve of. We’re talking obligatory smoked salmon, bacon on waffles, full breakfast spreads (pork sausage, roasted cherry tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, the lot). If you’re here for lunch and dinner, there’s an extensive list of all-day pastas, hand-stretched thin-crust pizzas, bar bites, and an intense dessert menu to get lost in.
