At a glance: Top 3 reasons to stay

01

Private infinity pool

Every villa in the Villa Zolitude estate has its own infinity pool. Indulge in a private lunch by the poolside, or have fun spotting wildlife in the surrounding trees while taking a dip. You can also use the communal pool near the resort’s Bambu Restaurant, which gives you a more open, panoramic view of the forest below, and a glimpse of the city in the distance.

02

Romantic & secluded

Removed from the crowded beaches and tourist traps, this rainforest retreat is perfect for couples looking for a quiet place to recharge without distractions. Make plans for a romantic candlelit dinner under the stars by your private pool, or organise your own in-villa barbecue if you fancy a bit of DIY cooking.

03

Plenty of nature

Villa Zolitude is perched on a forested mountainside with grand vistas of the treetop canopy below. You’ll encounter fascinating native wildlife, including the distinctive greater racket-tailed drongo. Need a quick change of scenery? There’s a daily shuttle service that takes you down to Nai Harn Beach in the morning and back to Villa Zolitude in the afternoon.

Villa Zolitude Resort & Spa is tucked away on a forested mountainside in Chalong, Phuket. It’s a different sort of resort to the usual suspects on the tourist-trodden island. This secluded villas-only estate embraces the ultimate thing that all visitors come looking for: peace and quiet amongst nature. As the icing on the cake, here, each signature wood-furnished villa has its own private infinity pool.

With Zolitude’s front yard a lush tropical jungle, almost every spot in the estate is a birdwatching vantage point. If you wait until the sun goes down, the large communal pool lights up like a constellation at night. A peaceful little library offers a selection of books and board games. The unique open-air Moroccan-style rainforest spa features a tranquil pond and stone onsen tubs.

Villa Zolitude Design Elements

Earthy tones, off-white greys, just the right mix of wood and concrete, a well-placed hammock here, a grand vase there. Careful design choices blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, creating a homely atmosphere.

From treetop duplex to sprawling 4-bedroom palace

Villa Zolitude Resort & Spa has 5 types of villas to choose from. The grandest is the Four Bedroom Pool Villa, complete with its own stately entrance, spacious sun deck by the swimming pool, water features, formal lounge area, kitchen, and dining room. Probably the best choice for big groups.

But if you’re a couple and it’s just the two of you…

… the signature Treetop Duplex Pool Villa is extremely romantic and offers plenty of privacy. You’ll discover a surprising number of little nooks across the two levels of this safari-style villa. Lounge around in the first-floor living room–it’s surrounded by full-length glass doors for ultimate forest views. Indulge in a grand “floating lunch” in the infinity pool (you have to see this thing to believe it). Observe rare birds up-close and leaping squirrels overhead. Have a relaxing soak in the terrazzo bathtub. Watch dawn break over the treetops in the early hours of the morning from the comfort of your own bed.

The resort has an open-air restaurant that also serves as the breakfast hall. The menu includes standard local fare and a few unique options like fresh fruit smoothie bowls to keep you hydrated in the heat. Try a colourful cocktail made with handcrafted rum sourced from the nearby Chalong Bay Rum Distillery. Their kitchen also prepares the made-to-order floating lunches that can be delivered to the main pool or your private pool.

How to get to Villa Zolitude Resort & Spa

Villa Zolitude Resort & Spa is located in the Chalong area of Phuket, about 1 hour from Phuket Airport by car.
